About Janet

Janet Harrell, a native of North Carolina, graduated from Meredith College in 1979
with a Bachelors Degree in Fine Arts.
Sharing her love of art with thousands of students, she has been an Art teacher in the Wake County School System for over 30 years.

Strong imaginative color and expressive texture is the common thread that runs through out her work. Janet’s subject matter includes impressionist style landscapes and architecture from scenic North Carolina and beyond. “I want my artwork to be fresh, spontaneous and delight the viewer with color and light.”

Janet’s work has been exhibited and won awards in juried shows throughout the Triangle and is represented in private and corporate collections in N.C.
